Mom, Daughter Arrested for Medicaid Fraud in Faulkner Co

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News release)– Two Faulkner County females, a mom and child, have actually been apprehended for Medicaid scams, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge stated.

Vonita G. Herbert, 28, of Conway, and her mom, Juanita Faye Rowden, 49, of Greenbrier, were apprehended and accuseded of Medicaid scams, a Class B felony. They are implicated of billing $2,639.70 for services not rendered to an 89-year-old lady who was bedridden. In addition, they were both accuseded of Abuse of Adults– Neglect Causing Serious Physical Injury of Substantial Risk of Death, a Class D felony.

The Conway Police Department made the arrests on warrants from the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Both were transferred to the Faulkner County Detention Facility, where they each published a $10,000 bond and were launched.

Medicaid scams happens when suppliers use the Medicaid program to get money to which they are not entitled.
